Hello CAMFA families, near and extended.
Spring is rapidly approaching and with spring comes spring football !!
As you may already be aware, we are extremely excited about our upcoming spring season, our inaugural NFL Flag season.
It is exciting for us for several reasons, first and foremost to get the kids out running and playing!
Another source of excitement for us is coaching. Have you ever pondered coaching football but didn’t know where to start? Have you ever been asked to coach football but perhaps didn’t accept the opportunity because you were not sure if your level of knowledge was enough? Well, fret no more!
This transition to NFL Flag has afforded us the opportunity to take a ground-level up approach.
We will be engaging in a 360-degree process with an emphasis on program building. What does this mean, you might be asking?
If you are an existing coach of contact football, the spring will allow you to create your program and build from the ground up, starting with the basics in a fun yet very competitive non-contact environment.
Then as you transition to the fall season, having implemented a vast majority of your program, you can put a greater emphasis on the fundamentals of contact football.
If you have never coached before and would like to get involved, we welcome you and we will set you up to succeed. You can be placed with experienced coaches and be mentored by them as you wade into the coaching world. And don’t worry about certifications – CAMFA will cover the cost of the certifications you need!
We will be opening a coaching registration form very soon and we look forward to sharing our knowledge of this beautiful game with you !!
