Atom Schedule
Our games are played at Legion Field (which is at the track beside Lindsay
Thurber High School).
The players and coaches arrive around 10:00am and begin pre-game
preparations (stretching and practising plays etc.)
Two games are played each Saturday with the first game commencing @ 10:30am.
We play
jamboree style of 9-a-side football. We find that this direction of play
gives each player the maximum playing experience. Games are two halves
of 25 minutes straight time with a 5 minute half time
and 5 minutes between games.
The second game each Saturday begins at 11:30am.
Following the 2nd game, players and team personnel are treated to a
barbecued hot dog and soft drink courtesy of Sobeys in Eastview, and Coca
Cola. The traveling barbecue is provided courtesy
of Gord Scott Nissan. Team followers can buy a drink and hot dog for a
nominal price as well. That money will go toward the entire Atom Football
Program. The parents and players are requested to pick up after
themselves and keep the Legion Field area clean.
